Core Strength & Conditioning Program
Research clearly shows that the core—back, abdominals, groin, and hip flexors—is where a player’s power comes from when on the ice. That is why Power Shot Hockey Academy’s Core Strength & Conditioning Program is designed to specifically build up those areas; and also why it plays a key role in the Power Shot Shooting System Full Program, and Summer Training Program.
The Core Strength & Conditioning Program is run by certified personal trainers, and operates out of PSHA’s 2,500-sq.-ft. hockey-specific training gym located on site. The program benefits a player’s hockey performance via gains in strength, endurance, and speed. Players will not only develop the resilience to handle the demands of physical play, but they will experience improved balance, become stronger on the puck, and will have more power and energy at their disposal when it matters most.
